Deshedding
Small dog - 10 minutes £10
Medium dog - 20 minutes £15
Large dog - 30 minutes £20
A deshedding groom is beneficial as it removes dead hair and undercoat, minimising shedding, preventing matting and promoting a healthier, cleaner coat and home!
Anyone with a double-coated dog, whether a long-haired breed, such as a Border Collie or Golden Retriever, or a short-haired breed, such as a Labrador or French Bulldog, will be familiar with the continual task of hoovering up loose dog hairs from furniture and clothes. Many double-coated dogs begin to shed profusely during the Spring and Summer months, which makes it an ideal time to book them in for a groom. However, since we all live in heated homes, dogs tend to shed continuously throughout the year, and many benefit from more frequent grooms, alternating with a Bath, Brush & Blow Dry, every two months.

The back and neck are stripped to help prevent skin irritation and a dull coat.
Some dog breeds need to be hand-stripped at least twice a year. Hand-stripping is the process of pulling the dead hair out of the coat of a non-shedding dog, either by using a stripping knife or the fingers.
WHAT DOG BREEDS CAN BE HAND-STRIPPED?
Dogs with wiry coats tend to need hand stripping to groom to breed standard. This includes most of the Terrier group who should be hand-stripped twice a year. Other breeds that require hand stripping include:
- Schnauzers
- Cocker Spaniels
- Irish Wolf Hounds
- Wire Fox Terrier
- Wire-haired Pointers
- Wire-haired Dachshunds
- Border Terriers
Nail Trimming – 10 minutes £10
Keep those nails short and neat with regular nail trims. This appointment is available as a stand-alone appointment or as an add-on to any other groom.
Unless your dog is so active it wears its nails down, you’ll need to get them cut because torn nails are painful and easily infected requiring soaking and long-term antibiotics or surgical removal. Dogs don’t walk correctly when their nails are too long and this strains the leg muscles and torques the spine. Long nails grow around and into the bottom of the foot. The dewclaw nail will grow into the leg. Ingrown nails are often infected and painful and make some dogs mean and unhappy. Nails help provide traction and increase a pet’s ability to walk and run without slipping. Pets with excessively long nails hurt themselves because they slip and fall.
